Wildebeest
The Wildebeest, also known as the Gnu, is a captivating creature that roams Africa's grasslands. Standing four to five feet tall, weighing 600 to 900 pounds, they have a distinctive appearance with a hump and muscular body. The wildebeest's dusty brown coat and curved horns add to its allure. Males and females both have these horns for self-defense and mating season battles. Known as "the great wanderers of the African savannah," wildebeests migrate annually in synchronized herds for protection from predators.
