Sable

The Sable (H.N. Niger), a majestic member of the mustelid family, is unmistakably recognized by its massive, curved horns and dark brown to black fur.

Native to regions south of the Zambezi River, the Sable has faced significant threats to its survival over the years, and the Sable populations have sadly declined drastically. Despite their overall decrease in numbers, Sable populations are still considered to be of "Least Concern" according to the IUCN thanks to various conservation efforts worldwide.
